Why Givehold exists

I built this for my own family first.

I tried a lot of budgeting apps. They were cluttered, covered in ads, expensive, and harder to use than the spreadsheet I was trying to replace. None of them made room for the thing that mattered most to us: giving faithfully.

So I built my own. I wanted entering a purchase to be as quick as typing a number and pressing Enter. I wanted everyone in our home to see the same budget the moment it changed. And I wanted to know, without doing the math, that our giving was right on track.

Is Givehold free?

You can start for free. Basic is free for one person: envelope budgeting, the giving tracker, recurring bills and month-end reconciliation. Pro Household adds AI receipt scanning and one shared, live budget for everyone in your home.

Do I have to connect my bank account?

No. Givehold doesn't ask for your bank login. You enter purchases yourself (it's fast, we promise) or scan a receipt. You stay in control of what's recorded.

What does “room to give” mean?

Giving is built into how you plan, not tacked on as one more category. Givehold tracks your income and shows how your tithe or giving goal is coming along, so generosity is part of the budget from the start.

Can my spouse or family use it too?

Yes. One subscription covers your household. Everyone sees the same budget, and changes show up instantly.

What happens to my data?
